Webb City will host Ozark for a likely conference championship, Webb City is 31-0 in COC play since joining in 2008. The first two seasons Webb City did not play Republic in conference play.
Last year Ozark and Webb City were tied at the half 7-7. The Cardinals then outscored Ozark 31-7 in the second half. Webb City put up 359 yards of offense while Ozark compiled 283. Pheonix Johnson rushed for 135 yards including a 4th quarter run of 74 yds for a TD which at the time made it a 2 touchdown game at 28-14. Going back to 1991 Webb City and Ozark have met 10 times, the first 5 meetings were in the State Playoffs. Webb City has won all 10 meetings. The Cardinals have won 37 consecutive games dating back to thier State Championship loss to Kearney in 2009. They have won 87 regular season games in a row, last losing to Columbia Hickman on October 10th of 2003. Ozark may have as good a shot as any will have the remainder of the season to end that streak.
